We incorporate environmentally responsible practices into the daily management of La Grange aux Étangs and ensure that everyone involved in its operation is aware of these commitments.
We also encourage our guests to discover the Sologne with respect, particularly its wildlife, plant life, forests and ponds. Being close to nature is one of the essential elements of the experience offered at La Grange aux Étangs.
Whenever possible, we favour local service providers, craftspeople and producers and pay attention to their environmental and social practices.
We also encourage more sustainable forms of transport. Bicycles are available for hire and we provide our visitors with information about travel options that can help reduce the use of cars whenever possible.

We save water and energy
• We monitor our consumption in order to identify opportunities for savings and prevent waste.
• We encourage our guests to use water and energy responsibly while ensuring that their comfort is maintained.
• When replacing equipment or carrying out improvements, we favour energy-efficient appliances and lighting.
We limit unnecessary consumption in unoccupied areas and adjust heating and lighting according to the actual use of the premises. La Grange aux Étangs uses LED lighting, motion sensors for certain outdoor lights and programmable heating. Outdoor lighting is kept to a minimum when it is not essential.

We reduce and sort our waste
• Our priority is to avoid producing waste wherever possible, even before considering recycling.
• We limit single-use products and individually packaged items as much as possible, particularly for welcoming our guests and for breakfast.
• We favour reusable products and bulk purchases or larger containers whenever appropriate for our activity.
Waste produced by the property is sorted in accordance with local recycling systems, and we encourage our guests to take part in this approach.

We favour local, seasonal and homemade food
Breakfast is one of the special moments at La Grange aux Étangs. We place great importance on homemade products and favour locally sourced products whenever possible.
In this way, we aim to introduce our guests to the flavours of our region while supporting short supply chains and limiting, as much as possible, products with excessive packaging or those transported over long distances.
We adapt our purchases to actual needs in order to reduce food waste.

We protect the nature around us
The location of La Grange aux Étangs, in the heart of the Sologne countryside, gives us a particular responsibility towards local biodiversity.
We aim to preserve the natural character of our outdoor spaces and promote management practices that respect local wildlife and plant life. We encourage our visitors to observe nature without disturbing it and to respect natural habitats during their walks and activities.
La Grange aux Étangs is an ideal starting point from which to discover the landscapes, trails and natural treasures of the Sologne, on foot, by bicycle or on horseback.
In the gardens of La Grange aux Étangs, we favour local plant species, use neither pesticides nor chemical fertilisers, and limit outdoor lighting at night in order to reduce disturbance to wildlife.

We care about the well-being of our guests
Our environmental approach goes hand in hand with our commitment to providing a healthy and pleasant indoor environment. La Grange aux Étangs is a non-smoking property, and its renovation has been carried out with an emphasis on comfort, authenticity and natural materials.
For cleaning and maintenance, we aim to favour products with the lowest possible impact on health and the environment.
